A fellow TFF member gave me some micro material from the Eocene, Meridian Mississippi . I don't know much about micro fossils so was hoping to get some info on the following? Which were all photographed next to a US nickel.

You seem to have tiger shark- like teeth!!!

I only know some Tertiary and creataceous shark teeth.

Wait till someone with experience on this specific time period answers!!!

Stringray barbs.

I am sorry I'm not familiar enough with Eocene sharkteeth to give confident id for those.

fish teeth.

It would help if You can number the pictures or pieces so We do not have to quote and reproduce all of the pictures.

I believe these are crushing type teeth from a fish but I can't think of the name.

Agree with Eric except 7 may be male Heterotorpedo or possibly Jacquhermania (need better pictures) and 14 top tooth may be Serratolamna.  13 on the left may be a ray dermal denticle/thorn.

would this be similar to Red Hot Truck Stop material? If so googling should get a paper or two on the fauna.

The old Red Hot Truck Stop site is in Meridian and that stuff is identical to teeth that have come from there.  There are at two articles by Case (Mississippi Geology, Palaeontographica) on material from there and at least two on the mammals from there.  I'm not at home to look at my copies

I drove through there several years ago.  The actual truck stop was empty/abandoned.  My friend didn't want to stop to check out the site.

Years before that, as Fossilselachian can tell you, a collector used to attend the MAPS EXPO and give out samples of teeth from there.
