I found this while looking for petoskey stones near Traverse city, and I am curious about what it might be.

It may be a gastropod in cross section.

It appears to be an "imprint" of a snail (gastropod).

Because it is a partial imprint and not the actual fossil snail...
I'm not able to suggest specific identification by name.
