Recommended Posts

A bit of sun yesterday helped here in Millrift PA , about 3 miles upriver from Port Jervis/Matamoras.

The reference for this location is Atlas 228 plate 1 http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/topogeo/publications/pgspub/atlas/index.htm.

The U. Devonian Millrift Formation (530') is underlain by the Sloat Brook Formation (340') , Sparrow Bush Formation (40') and the M. Devonian Mahantango Formation (2450').

Cheers,

Gordon

Echoing Don and others here. Nice brachs and pelecypods. The iron staining definitely gives them a stunning accent from the matrix.

Nice finds Gordon. Glad to see you've crossed over into the Upper Devonian. Lots to explore there. I especially like the Actinopteria (bivalve). Congratulations.
