JarrodB
8 mile NSR hike trying to get past all the footprints. I had a great day. I found a nice variety of Pleistocene and Cretaceous fossils and all kinds of artifacts. I really like the partial Mosasaur / Pleisosaur scapula with shark feeding marks. The Mastodon tooth enamel has some great color. The Ammonite septum that size is pretty rare for NSR. 2 Mosasaur teeth in one day always makes my day. Darktooth
Love those mosasaur teeth! You really know how to make someone Jealous! Curse you Jarrod! I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
David E.
Holy smokes Jarrod! Awesome finds! Oh and thanks.....after watching the rain not do much to raise the water level on the NSR, I had made up my mind to wait until a good rain came through before I went back up. Well...you just changed my mind. I'll be back out there this weekend.
flyg
That's an incredible set of finds. Love those lithics too. What is the large item middle right in the group shot--part of a skull or sternum? G
Fruitbat
Very nice NSR finds. Too bad that most of the Pleistocene material from the NSR is fragmentary. That mastodon molar would have been spectacular! -Joe Illigitimati non carborundum Fruitbat's PDF Library

I doubt it will hit 6 feet... that being said, any decent rise is bound to make our hikes more productive. Really cool finds! I have got to get back up there soon. Jakuzi
Wow! Great finds! Is that a plesiosaur paddle bone? Those Mos teeth are amazing. I'm still looking for my first. It looks like the river rose about 6ft or so. I'm going to have to try to convince my girlfriend to go out there this weekend. She wants to go out to Post Oak to get some shark teeth.
