Renmat
Hi, I'm sort of new to the forum but have been digging round the streams on NJ for a while. Over the winter I picked up dremel that's solely dedicated to prepping fossils. Anyway, I'm looking for a site or person where is can buy bulk material/concretion/nodules to work on. LordTrilobite
Not sure about bulk. But I saw an unprepped crab nodule on Ebay yesterday. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
Fossildude19
I see you are in Western New York. Have you considered going to Penn Dixie Quarry, and digging out your own trilobites to prep? It would be cheaper, and the dremel would probably work better on the shales/limestones that are there rather than nodules. Or were there specific types of fossils you were looking to prep - crabs, fish nodules... etc.? 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." jpc
I agree with Tm. Trilobites form western NY are a good target for a Dremel. Crab concretions are NOT a good thing to prep with a Dremel. They demand air scribes.
