BrettCo124
Hey all, I am New to the forum, and very happy to be here with all of you. I live close to Philadelphia, but have been traveling to New Jersey to a well known creek that dates back to the Cretaceous period to hunt for fossils. I found this one thing and I have no clue what it is. Perhaps you'd be able to assist? since I can't post too many photos in the same message, I'm going to add a couple more possible fossils that I don't know how to ID. thanks for having me here everybody! brettco

Peace river rat
First appears to be a fish vert, no idea on the others. Welcome, and happy hunting!
ynot
Welcome to TFF! 1 is a fish vert, possible shark. 2 saw fish rostral spine. 3 not a fossil. Tony Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF.

GeschWhat
Welcome to the forum! I would say the last one could be a coprolite, but the concentric circles on the last photo don't look right for that. Is that a chip in the rock? The little infilled circular hole on the first photo looks like a clam boring. Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. As stated before, #1 is a fish vertebra. #2 looks more like an ironstone/bog iron nodule, rather than a sawfish rostral. The creeks are littered with them. Many mistakenly brought home, by myself and others. # 3 looks like another odd nodule. BrettCo124
Thanks all for your help! The weird rock looking thing is not a fossil. I'm convinced. I've just been fooled lol. Can't wait to get back out there and search for more!
