I'm not getting a bone vibe off of this - any chance of close up pictures of both ends and some of the sides? :unsure:

Looks like it may be a fish vert covered with matrix. Can You clean some of the matrix off?

Sorry ....I think its nothing more then some kind of mineral / Rock...I don't see anything that makes me thing its a vert of any kind

If it will not come off with water try a pin vice or dental pick.

No guarantee on this - JPC may be correct - no fossil.
