Teenybopper Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Hi, whilst walking the beach at Llantwit Major (Wales) I came across this fossil. It was approx. 30cm wide. TqB Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Hi and welcome to the forum. It's a large ammonite from the lower part of the Lower Lias (Jurassic period). Taogan Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 I agree it is a Lias ammonite, but it looks a bit angular in the ribs for Coroniceras, though it is a bit too worn to tell.
