What is the most effective way to locate members in my area to plan fossil collecting tirips?

Contact your nearest Gem/Mineral/fossil club. All you have to do is look up on Google.

I put up a post in my state saying I was looking for a hunting partner and a little about myself with some of my personality traits. I also put together a couple trips to hunt and meet some local members in my area. To me it was very successful and I've met quite a few folks from Tff and have developed some good friends because of it

The Member Map here on TFF exists for finding members in your area. To plan fossil collecting trips, members usually post the location they're going to be hunting and date (or they ask a date that would work best for everybody that would like to go on the trip).
