littlejetties
Found this on a sandy bank of the St John's river in NE Florida. Thought the interesting cracked "shell" appearance was worth inquiring about. Thanks.
ynot
Your picture is out of focus and can not see any details. Probably just a cracked up stream tumbled rock. Plax
I'd search this site for "fossil egg" and see what you get
abyssunder
I take the liberty to crop your picture for a better view. The outer layer has an interesting pattern. littlejetties
Here's both sides. I'm inclined to think it's just mud cracks, turned stone, and tumbled smooth.
Fossildude19
I think this is a geologic stone, that developed cracks, and had minerals seep in to keep the cracks opened. Definitely not a egg. Possibly a concretion. The cracking often happens with the outer "rinds" of concretions.
