Some of the round parts that may be trilo spines reminded me of crinoid links in this crinoid rock found at the same spot.

This was like a half hour quicky hunt on the way back from the lumber mill. My loot for the stop.  :-)

Got a really nice freshly broken out Fisherites.

Graptolites.

And I believe these are imprints of cephs.

We had had torrential rains the night before and most of the snow was gone, but when I got home it started snowing again...

Hi Bev!

I have no idea re: your trilobites, but I think I see a cute little brachiopod that looks like one I sometimes see up here in the Georgian Bay Formation (Upper Ordovician) called Sowerbyella sericea - I've cropped your image labeled "Part 1" so you can see the little guys I'm talking about:

As for the big, dark think in "Rock 1" - I don't know what it could be - perhaps it is part of a trilobite, although I'm not seeing and segmentation so if it were, I imagine it would be part of the cranadium?  Anyway, in that same rock, I definitely see crinoid bits (red rectangles) and perhaps also a bryozoan (blue oval) - can you see tiny holes in the bryozoan-like specimen?  See below:

As for what you think are imprints of orthoconic nautiloids in your last image, I agree - that's what it looks like to me!  See below in yellow:

Thanks for sharing!

I'm afraid that without any prepping it will be difficult to ascertain whether some of your items are brachiopods, parts of gastropods, or trilobites. :(

Those graptolites appear very large. I like that!!. All I can find locally is small ones. Great find.

I have to confess I cannot see any trilobites in your "trilobite rock" parts 1-5.  Perhaps some closer photos, maybe lightly moistened (but not so wet as to create glare or reflections) could highlight what you want us to see.

Thanks! I'll see what I can do in the prep dept., so that you can see what I think I can see.  :-)

Well, I went out to my fossil barn and it is buried in Christmas stuff not put into the barn loft yet - no getting at my muriatic acid for a while yet. However, I put the Fisherites rock by my electric fireplace in the garage, which I am "Bev Caving" and Bob observed that it has the outline of a dog's head! I saw the fossil, he saw the dog's head. LOL  :-) Thought you might enjoy this pic. A beautiful Maclurites right below the moose lamp, tall Macs with a ceph on top to the left and the "dog's head" Fisherites to the right. Fossils as decor.  :-)

There's a very Northern looking tableau!

I saw the dog as soon as you mentioned it (but not before)

Yup, I didn't see the dog either until Bob mentioned it. He didn't see the fossil! The Eagle Bluff Skills School just posted this on my fossil hunting classes.  :-)
