Hello everyone,

I've some questions about this Pecopteris fossil (pic 1) from the Carboniferous of France. On the other side (pic 2) there are other leafs. Can you help me identifying them ?

Thank you20170308_194010.thumb.jpg.df3bfb357ccaeaeef3718b85f2ac81ff.jpg20170309_185316.thumb.jpg.83eeb66731a3247d557bfbc4a0a79a49.jpg20170309_184750.thumb.jpg.4adfd7a66423a333f9ffa78d48fa61e1.jpg

I think the imprints on the back are also types of Pecopteris. The mid veins I can make out seem to go to the top of the individual leaves versus Neuropteris which only go half way up the leaf.

Thank you very much both of you!

In pic 1, on the right there's a circular imprint, 2-3 cm (1 inch) long. Maybe a seed?

Thank you

I'd like to see close ups of each individual type of plant - the pinnules are how you tell them apart, ... and quite frankly, the pictures are very blurry.

We would ideally like to see the veining, and the attachment to the stems.

Pictures taken outside, or near a window for natural lighting are best.

The circular object is likely a seed, maybe something similar to  Cardiocarpus sp
