I'm still breaking down shale chunks that I brought home from the Martin Marietta quarry in Midlothian, TX. Site covers the Atco contact between the Eagle Ford shale & the Austin Chalk formations. Lots of micro stuff in there. Here are my latest tiny finds. Scale in all photos is in millimeters.

Pycnodont fish tooth. Thanks to Mike Everhart for the ID!

Vertebra, I suspect fish of some type or other,

That's the offbeat stuff. Most of the rest is all shark teeth in varying condition. Haven't gotten photos of those yet, too big for my micro camera.

Pretty Good pictures. :)

What are you using to take them?

A handheld digital microscope by Plugable Technologies. They're about $30 on Amazon.

I thought the pictures looked familiar. ;)

I got the same one a month or so ago.  Pretty cool little things. :D

I'm fairly impressed with the quality of the pictures.

Was a bit confused at first, but then I realized I had to set the resolution every time I opened the software.

Thanks for answering.

I lost the platform not long after I got it. I find it's easier to hold it than to mess with that bendable rubber mount.
