Eero59 Posted March 19, 2017 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Just popped open two concretions I collected years ago in Grundy Co, IL, via freeze/thaw method. Essex fauna. The long one appears to be some type of marine worm? The round one is the one I'm wondering about: the top half shows some detail of radiating lines. It wouldn't hurt to soak each specimen in white vinegar for an hour or so, and then gently remove the calcite. Revealing any additional detail in the potential fossils.
