Is this a tooth?

Does anyone know what this is?  To me it resembles a tooth of some sort. I found it in Indiana years ago and have just been going through some old finds.

I'm not entirely sure that's not just geologic in origin...kind of difficult to see if I am seeing any traces of worn spongy bone. But I am quite sure it isn't a tooth :)

It certainly has the form of a tooth, but it does not appear to have the right substance and structure. It's probably stone, but we'd need sharper photos to say for sure.

I agree with the others, - no enamel, no bone structure.  Not a tooth.

Indiana really only has paleozoic sediments exposed, so, too old for many types of teeth.

See this geological map:

I see what appear to be bryozoan fenestrule ( window like openings in lacy bryozoans)  along parts of this item.

I think it looks like some sort, perhaps a mixture, of marine invertebrate fossils. Tabulate coral is another possibility.
