The jellyfish is to the left of the tooth and is only really visible as a vague circle with radial lines. WOW! What an awesome association fossil! Beautiful tooth, and jellyfish imprint! Thanks for posting all of these wonderful new finds, Sam! To prep these I used small grinding discs to remove the matrix till I was very close to the teeth then let them soak in vinegar till the remaining matrix was weakened then used a sharpened needle under a microscope to remove the rest. I'd like to try air abrasion but haven't gotten round to getting a kit yet.
Archie
A couple of my latest finds from the past few weeks, first of all an unusual Petalodont like tooth Ive identified as Pristodus benniei, this is a presumed lower tooth and is 13mm across. Fossildude19
Great finds, Sam! I am especially fond of the Pristodus benniei tooth. It's great to be able to see things I didn't know about here on the Forum. Thanks for posting these. The Pristodus teeth are fairly new to me too, there seems to have only been a single upper and lower tooth with the two forming a sort of beak, that example is a lower tooth the upper teeth are multicuspid and pretty stunning! Here's some other examples Ive found over the past couple of years, the only upper tooth I ever found shattered into pieces sadly so Ive only got the impression from the counterpart

Archie
My latest find from yesterday, a tiny juvenile Petalodus tooth, found this loose on a spoil heap right at the last minute before leaving so was really chuffed with it I'm amazed its still almost complete with all the fractures running through it!
