Attic find

Hi all, I hope it is ok to ask this here. I am sorting all our stuff out as moving abroad (from UK) and have this little box which I presume are some sort of fossils inside.

Any help on what they are would be great, thank you.

I presume the fossils are from the UK, sorry I have no more info, also why they would have numbers stuck on them?

The first one is a fossil and appears to be an internal cast of a clam (shell has not been preserved).  The second one might be a human artifact (?) and does not appear to be fossil

PS. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

+1 for bivalve Steinkern on the first one.

No clue on the second.

Welcome to TFF!

The numbers are a form of classifying. There should be a document that correlates the numbers and gives information about the rocks.

The first one looks like a Cucullaea clam and the last one looks like an Arca clam. In New Jersey, both of these are represented among the Late Cretaceous units.
