Keep in mind, however - sometimes the size of the nodule is not indicative of the size of the fossil within. I once broke open a large, round nodule in upstate NY, ... that took forever to break, only to find decent sized (2 inches) enrolled trilobite at the center. The concretion probably weighed 100 lbs, or more, and was probably 2 feet in diameter. Good luck!
