Help me Id these interesting fossiles

Hm. These are not looking like fossils to me. The first looks to be a concretion (although there may be some fossils on the stone behind this one if you could get a closeup of it). The second looks like weathering, possibly iron oxide or an eroding geode cavity judging by the fine crystals. Others will doubtless chime in shortly to give their view. In the interim, could you say more about where these were found? That assists our members in being able to have a grasp on the geology of the area to facilitate a more accurate identification.
