britishcanuk
I found this his big tiger shark tooth at a local rock shop today. The tag says Eocene but no location info is provided and the store worker had no idea. It looks modern, but the enamel has chipped back a bit as if fossilized. Was wondering what you guys thought? cheers!
ynot
Looks recent to Me. I guess is for not fossil. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." fifbrindacier
I don't know if this is fossil or recent, but it's a really nice one. Coco I'm not so sure. See the tooth in the picture below. It is a bit washed out but that day I found several very light colored teeth. All of these came from the same creek.
Al Dente
One thing for certain, this is not Eocene. Galeocerdo cuvier first appeared in the latest Miocene or early Pliocene.
Grimlock
Al dente is correct, definitely not Eocene. It is a recent tooth and a very nice one at that.
