Possible Fish Tooth from Post Oak Creek, Sherman, TX

Hi all

My son and I found this small (1 cm) tooth from Post Oak Creek in Sherman, TX, and are trying to identify it, if possible.  Our best guess is a fish tooth (maybe Pachyrhizodus or Xiphactinus) or a small mosasaur tooth.  There is a small ridge running lengthwise down the tooth, and the tooth base is oval with a central canal.

Thanks!

Nice find.  I'm not familiar with the fauna from this area, hopefully this bump will flag some local collector will chime in.  I'll throw out this as a flyer it's a fresh water reptile called Champsosaurus.  This image is one from the Hell Creek Fm, different species have been found in Texas but not really familiar with them. Food for thought :)
