claire
Can anyone help identify this rock? Is it skin? Location - Ireland
TqB
Hi Claire and welcome to the forum! It's not skin but a branching coral colony from the Carboniferous period, very roughly 320 - 350 million years old. It is probably Siphonodendron sp. - plenty of images if you search. Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. I agree with Tarquin - coral not skin. Neat find. Ludwigia
+1 for Siphonodendron. There's lots to be found in Ireland. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
