Peat Burns
This is a trip to St. Leon, Indiana (Late Ordovician), that I took on Tuesday the 28th. Weather was cloudy, 66 deg. F. Conditions were wet and muddy, but a lot of fresh material had weathered out and was exposed from the winter. More or less typical finds. The complete Ambonychia steinkern was the trip-maker for me. Here is a view of the roadcut.

Jeffrey P
More reasons to keep St. Leon on my bucket list. Especially love the Ambonychia and the Hiscobeccus. REALLY COOL! minnbuckeye
Great finds! Love the picture of the Hiscobeccus. Also envious of the enrolled flexi. I have been there twice and have come away empty handed in regards to this trilobite. Great place to hunt for the general public.

Hey, Jeffrey P and minnbuckeye....you seem to like the hiscobeccus brachiopods pictured. Their herringbone detail gives them a lot of character. Those things are very plentiful around this area...I literally have hundreds. Prepped and unprepped. I'm willing to share. Trade?? That goes for anyone interested, actually.
