I am not 100 percent sure either but I am thinking Carcharocles auriculatus. Do you know what time period it came from?

Late Cretaceous? From what I've looked up the fossils in Louisiana start around then. But I am an pretty new to fossils so I could be off.

They all look like Otodus (Carcharocles) auriculatus to me. These are from Eocene exposures and from what I see there are plenty of them in the state. B.T.W. they have some beautiful colors.

It might possibly be a late transitional tooth between O. obliquus and C. auriculatus, since the serrations are quite small and weak. Nice find!

Fantastic teeth ?!  .. Louisiana ?  My home state.  Those teeth are gorgeous.  Definitely has that Otodus (Carcharocles) auriculatus feel.  +1

Cheers,

B
