pambosk
Found near limestone quarry St. George - Governor's beach area. Not the only one of this type. The inside is 6cm diameter, the specimen is 1cm thick. photo 3 is the back side. The backside appears to be a small circle then 2 stripes around it. Fossildude19
I brightened the pictures some. Not really seeing anything fossil-ish about this piece. I think it is just an artifact of splitting or a sedimentary structure. pambosk
many thanks for fixing those and for the insight. Let's see if anyone disagrees Since we are on this category here something similar, this one had some bumps and I carved the softer spots with a needle. It is 22cm long and thickness is 4.5cm. 2nd photo is the back side

westcoast
I agree with fossil dude on the first piece the second may be burrows but not sure. There appears to be a small nipple in the lower part of the last image.
pambosk
i have been scraping the softer parts off the past few hours, and let me tell u, this is a very nice material for sculptures, really it is haha.. anyway we shall see.the nipple is indeed there, a trained eye nice one, there's also a "reversed nipple or eye" if u will opposite So let's say it is burrows, what one should expect to find inside or near by? obviously something dug those. and if empty should that be obvious (ie softer stone inside, or different kind) could it have been a spider of sorts? I do see something at the end of one of the tunnels, but perhaps i have ruined half of it while making a fossil omelette overall it does feel like more than http://www.inspiremore.com/10-incredible-geological-formations/ , considerably less spectacular but, it does feel like life was there, shape/texture/pigmentation-wise looks nice in uv too. pics coming soon
