Gomphotherium Tooth-Found 3hrs Ago

My buddy just pulled this Gomphotherium Tooth out of a river in South Carolina about 3 hrs ago. Thought it was nice enough find to show to you guys.

Super rare from the Low Country. It also looks as if something is imbedded in the tooth. 5.5" long x 3"wide. weight 3lbs

That's amazing.  I wonder if that's something embedded or if the enamel (or enamel equivalent) has chipped and/or eroded there?  In the second photo there appears to be a bump on the section just behind the "pebble"; perhaps it's similar but has lost its surface.
