Fossil-Hound
Found some amazing stuff today with @Kane @ischua @DevonianDigger @Fossildude19 and @drobare We hauled some serious rock and had somewhat of an assembly line going with splitting and processing the pieces. It was a really solid day all around and everyone walked away with some sweet finds. The following is a sample of some of the cool stuff I've found. The rest is packed away. The first is a large cephalon and will look good despite not having a body and then there's a Spyroceras cephalopod that might benefit from some very gentle prep work. I really like cephalopods because of all the neat chambers they contain. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda
Fossil-Hound
Large Spyroceras cephalopod. @DevonianDigger has the other half of this monster. Then there's the catch of the day, a complete Greenops boothi. I can not wait to prep this slightly rolled up, slightly prone complete Greenops. @DevonianDigger and I found one that was almost twice this size but was smashed during the rock excavation as the shale did not want to cooperate with us. Still really pumped to have this Greenops. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda
Fossil-Hound
@ischua handed me this gorgeous pyritized brachiopod. He seems to be a magnet for pyritized stuff. Following that is a complete Eldredgeops. @DevonianDigger had plenty of super glue for emergency holds and this fossil certainly benefited from the glue. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda
Fossil-Hound
A hummer of a Eldredgeops found on the site. Can not wait to prep this one out. The second Eldredgeops also looks very promising and is a decent size. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda
Fossil-Hound
Mostly prone Eldredgeops with what appears to be the cephaolon folded under the shale. The second fossil is another trilobite (Eldredgeops) and a roller that appears to be in good condition. These specimens will prep out really well. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda

Fossil-Hound
@ischua yes I am now an officially spoiled guy. I still can not believe we pulled apart that much rock and found so many neat fossils. Good to associate a face and name with everyone! Do or do not. Trilobites intrigue me, kind of like Coors beer did back in the 1970's when it was not available on the east coast. Growing up a Marine Corps brat like I did, we would get guys who were TAD to Yuma to bring us some back. Peat Burns
Oh man... that Greenops... About the closest I have to a complete Greenops from there is a beat up thing that looks like it went through a washing machine. Tons of complete E. rana from there tho ... Kane
Deb and I just finished up our last day here with @DevonianDigger . The shale kept giving. Sometimes a trilo every few seconds! We hauled out an inhuman amount of shale. I think today's tally alone is well over 100 full rollers and prones. Total is probably 250-300, 4 days, 30 hours of digging, probably over 150 sq feet dug out. Also some nice platyceras, carbonized plant material, lots of spyroceras, etc. Body is definitely going to feel this tomorrow. Will clean up the finds tomorrow and see to putting pics to the story ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
ischua
I haven't had much time to go thru my bucket of stuff. But here are a few of my favorite pieces. I have a fondness for multi-species plates and cant wait to dig into the ones I brought back. As @Kane said there are lots of rollers and while I didn't find 100s like him I have enough to keep me busy.
