Nice pygidium.  Look for the source of the rock and if you find it you will be in business!

exploring the streams and rivers of pickering as the videographer for my friend who is big into fishing

i have never seen exposed bedrock... not to say it isnt there... but i have not seen any

high water levels on lake ontario combined with high winds is causing some shoreline erosion

this image is from the loofs website on the day i went hunting... it is higher now

Hi again!

The specimens that you've found look really cool - geodized corals, etc.  They look very different from what I'm used to finding at Etobicoke Creek, with the exception of the specimens in the photo above - those are very similar to what I'm used to finding!  Can you see tiny holes in some of the white things?  If so, I imagine what you have are some branching bryozoans.  Some of the white things might also be pieces of crinoid and/or small orthoconic nautiloids (both of which have a segmented appearance - can you see any evidence of this?).

Thanks for showing us what you've been finding!

Monica

Sorry about photobucket - that's very annoying.

Re: your last lot of fossils - I can definitely say that you have some coral in the bunch - the fourth one down from the top is most definitely coral (you can see the individual corallites), and I think that the third and fifth specimens are also corals.  As for the others, I'm not sure what they are...

Keep hunting!!!

Monica
