Mooftress Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Hello. My name is Michele. My father in law gave me a chunk of rock from a creek in Medina Ohio that has some plant fossilized in it. I was wondering if it could be identified and roughly how old it may be? According to this generalized bedrock geologic map of Ohio, the are is Devonian-Mississippian in age. So, roughly 408-320 million years old.
