If it is unattached from the matrix, please take photos of the bottom as well. Also, where these were found? Wrangellian Posted April 18, 2017 Share Posted April 18, 2017 Looks like concretion to me too, and conc's are known to sometimes contain fossils inside them, but the ratio of those that contain fossils to those that don't will vary from place to place, so you have to decide for yourself whether you want to take a chance and break them open...
