besom hill fossil help with id

hi today i went to hunting in besom hill (oldham UK) and i found this that looks like a jaw with teeths. can anyone tell me if its really a jaw or its just my immagination :D

 

the first one is a normal pic , the second one is cropped and i modified the contrast.

It is hard to tell from the photo. Do the teeth have enamel (shiny)?

Hi.  I think that's probably a jaw, but from the picture it looks like it may have split through the middle.  It's difficult to be sure from the picture but the structure looks right for it to be a jaw.

Definitely other fish parts there, so I would say jaw too. 

What from, ... I don't know.  :headscratch:

 

EDIT - Can you take a picture from directly above the item? 90° angle? Nevermind.

Hi.  I think I can see a Rhizodont scale so I think Rhizodus or Strepsodus is most likely.  A book which I have about fossil fish says Rhizodus teeth are laterally compressed while Strepsodus are not.

It's from the pennine coal formation I think , and yes it's splitted in the middle I think , i found it after splitting a big rock
