It seems to be an ordinary rock to me with that angle. Try posting different angles, maybe that could give more details.

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!

I see a thin film of Calcite mineral staining a weathered iron concretion type rock that has split many moons ago, with a chunk of it's "face" chipped off (probably due to weathering). It appears to be laying on a leather lookalike vinyl that has been poorly sewn with a US quarter for scale. 

 

Unfortunately no fossils are present.
