What is this fossil in this obelisk?

Doesn't look like a fossil to me. Where was this found? Looks like something geologic that someone cut.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing fossiliferous that I can see here :(

Welcome to the Forum. :)

I've merged  your topics - no need for two on the same item. ;)

Please take some close ups of all areas. I think there are cross sections of fossils throughout, but I'm not sure of the large grayish area.

That is pretty busy! No guesses on where your late aunt acquired it from?

Not sure what you are referring to. It might help to give us a measurement scale ;)

With the closer pics I now see segmentation, which rules out belemnites, so I'll have to agree with crinoid stems. Not sure what those things are that Lori has circled (bryozoans?).

Most of the fragments are crinoidal remains of pluricolumnals in different views (transverse, longitudinal and oblique). Pretty obelisk, nicely cut and polished. The circled in red could be bryozoans in my thought (thanks Lori for the picture), but the larger one is something else than all of that. I don't know what it could be. Maybe coral?

Looks like it could come from Morocco.

So, would the large grey object be a crinoidal specimen?

No, that part appears to be the limestone that the formation was made of.

I also see crinoids and bryozoans, and maybe some brachiopods parts.

It could be from Morocco. Found this one in a quick Google search.

The dark grey area looks like some sort of coral.

Neat piece, for sure.
