Petoskey Stone?

Hello , I live in Michigan and I found this rock in our creek a while back and was curious, Is this a petoskey stone? One side has holes the other has scratches like. Whitish also. Rusty?. It was buried in sand. Thanks for the help if possible .

It is indeed a fossil coral, which is what Petosky Stone is, but I imagine there are many types of fossil coral to be found in Michigan. I hope a midwesterner can answer in more detail.

It's a rugose coral and certainly looks like a Hexagonaria (although you'd need a section to be sure) so Petoskey Stone is a good bet.
