A fossil Mickey Mouse?

Recommended Posts

No, not what you might expect! Not a cheater trying to sell a fake - this is serious artwork! So relax and enjoy.

"Cartoon characters are created into a fossilized skeleton on the same stone next to a genuine fossil of fishes and plants from Jurassic times. These are presented within the context of a Natural History Museum. For her latest project, “Fossil”, the artist Liu Fei presents fragments of rock embedded with the fossilized skeletons of contemporary icons from popular Disney cartoons and Japanese anime.."

Let me introduce "Donald" by Liu Fei Studio:

The "fossils" are pretty cool and look quite realistic. If they wouldn't be Disney cartoon characters and Japanese animes, but birds or turtles instead, most people would believe them being real fossil.

So buyers beware - everything is possible! Even a fossil Mickey Mouse!

Have fun
