I was at one of the Monmouth Co Brooks this week and found this odd looking thing and at first I thought it was a concretion but it doesn't look like any I have seen before and I have seen many many many of them. I think it might be a sponge of some kind I have seen them in the M.A.P.S. collection for those who is familiar with the collection. I would like to hear from my fellow forum members and a few opinions if this maybe a possible sponge.

Not sure but I know there is a way to look at it under a microscope to tell if the structure is organic - I found a different type of sponge there and Dave was able to tell by the structure of it.
