Kittenbreath
Hi there, I'm part of a rock panting group and I found this rock up in the PNW and the first thing I thought was cool I want to paint something hatching out of it! But I thought I'd make sure it isn't something special before I paint all over it. Hoping someone here might know, fossil, geode, concretion? Thank you! Fossildude19
Hello, and Welcome to the Forum. It looks like you have a sandstone concretion, or nodule. Sorry - people post these all the time thinking they are eggs - they are just a geological oddity. The "shell" is much too thick to be an actual eggshell. Kittenbreath
Thank you, either way I'm happy. It means I can paint something cool on it! But thank you for the fast reply! I'd have hated to paint on something special!
Herb
show us the concretion when you finish painting it.
