Small Mammal Tooth

Shellseeker

Recommended Posts

I was out Wednesday. Found some interesting fossils including one of the better Whale Bullas that I have ever found. Also a few Horse teeth and this oddity with a broken occlusal surface that originally I thought might be bear or tapir and now I realize that I just do not know.  So here are some photos.

Let me know what you think. Size 32.5x18.5x14 (mm).

This reminds me of a canid upper molar. These have distinct triple roots, and I can't make out a triple root on your find.

Thanks Harry. More difficult with break.  4 photos- 1 from each side.  I do not note any break in the root area.
