nice brachiopod fossil shell I found in the creek today 5/14/2017

hi everyone this is Matt again 

 

today in the creek I found a nice brachiopod shell it is called Spinocyrtia granulosa and is middle devonian and is found in ontario, new york and Pennsylvania

Nice find.  Good to have a species that really accentuates the parts.

 

I always like that deep grey/blue colour of Devonisn specimens from that area.
