Cris Posted May 23, 2017 Share Posted May 23, 2017 I believe this is a fragment of a proboscidian skull, either mammoth or mastodon. The somewhat random sponge-like texture gives the skull strength without making it too heavy for the animal to lift it's head. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
