This is mosasaurus piece tooth?

Age: Cretaceous

Location: Górka Pychowicka , Kraków , Southern Poland

I'm not seeing the usual diagnostic traits of a tooth here :headscratch:

 

You may wish to indicate what precisely you see here as making this a tooth. From the images I've seen of mosasaur teeth, the texture is different. I'm not sure what this is, but it doesn't seem to be a tooth :(

 

Perhaps some of our paleo-dental experts will weigh in. :)

If it is enamel, then I would go with a piece of shark tooth. Not Mosasaur. :unsure:

What's the formation? Although it looks to me like a rock, a quick look at rocks in polish Cretaceous rocks near kraków leads me to think chert or flint, I'm willing to look in to it a little to see what it could be if it is a fossil.
