While on Sanibel Island for vacation, I decided to go with Marc (Fossil Expeditions) to the Peace River for a couple hours of collecting near Arcadia. Here are pics from my from yesterday of my finds. Not bad results from working one 3 foot area: 140 complete shark teeth, 202 partial shark teeth and other misc items: bird claw, ray mouth plates and barbs, puffer mouth plates, vertebrae, armadillo/ gator skutes, turtle shell, bone pieces.

If you have the chance to get to Florida, you should do it- it was a lot of fun.

That Peace River is an amazing place to fossil hunt!  Been going for a few years now.  Usually I spend 4 days on the river camping along the way.  Congrats on all the finds!

Yvie,

If travel plans ever find you on this side of the pond and you are in range of Florida during the fossil hunting season (basically the dry, non-hurricane season) you'll have to let us know you are coming and we'll help you fill your suitcases with lots of goodies.

Cheers.
