Hat
Found this in a dry creekbed near Silver City NM. Thought it may have drifted down from the Permian rock that's about half a mile away, or the Cretaceous rock that's about the same distance. Looks like a toe bone with a claw on one end, but I can't tell if I'm just imagining things. Don't know why, but I'm thinking maybe Dimetrodon? Any clue? Thanks. Fossildude19
I agree - not a toe bone.
