David in Japan
Hi all, i would like to know how you identify shark upper jaw tooth from lower jaw tooth. Are there any specific trait making easy such differenciation? For example, he in japan you can find a lot of cretalamna appendiculata tooth. How can i guess if the tooth found is an upper or lower jaw tooth? ~~~~~~~~~~~~〇~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warmest greetings from Kumamoto、 Japan
ynot
It is dependent on the species of shark. Some have a pronounced difference between upper and lower teeth, while others have little or no difference between upper and lower. Check out the dentition sets on elasmo.com. http://www.elasmo.com/ or on jelasmo. http://naka.na.coocan.jp/ 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys."
