Trilobiting
Hello, Can somebody help me ID this pterosaur tooth? The seller says it was found in the Kem Kem basin in Morocco. The tooth is about 1 1/2 inches long. "Fossils have richer stories to tell about the lub-dub of dinosaur life than we have been willing to listen to." - Robert T. *THEO*
There is only one Pterosaur with such a teeth described from Kem Kem beds - Siroccopteryx(althought it is classified by some authors as a species belonging to the genus Coloborhynchus).
Miocene_Mason
Yeah he's right, there is little doubt that's what it is. 2 “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Troodon
The preservation looks like the Kem Kem. I take a very conservative approach with trying to label pterosaur material from this region to a genus/species level since so little is understood and agreed upon. It's a pretty poor specimen and tons nicer ones are available online at very reasonable prices.
