I've been to the NSR about 6 or 8 times in the last 4-5 years, but there are many folks in the DFW area that hit it every other weekend. Personal finds include mosasaur teeth and vertebrae, shark teeth, ammonites, nautiloids, fish teeth, mammoth enamel fragments, echinoids, bivalves, gastropods, and spear points. Most people hunt the channel between Hwy 68 and Hwy 24 as well as the feeder creeks in between. Best hunting occurs immediately after a flood recedes. While this is perhaps the single most popular collecting area in the state it still produces good finds for diligent collectors willing to walk far. Grüße, Daniel A.
