Nimravis
After I was unable to visit the St. Leon roadcut yesterday, I decided to see if my non-fossil collecting wife would let me stop for a few minutes on our way home. She agreed, so I made a very quick trip up one gully picking up loose brachiopods, horn coral, bryozoan and some hasp plates- no trilobites. After reviewing @Peat Burns trip report, I believe that I also found the bivalve Ambonychia, but he may be able to confirm. Here are a couple pictures of some of my finds. My wife is in the car checking the time- LOL. Possible Ambonychia Bi-Valve
Peat Burns
It sure looks like it could be an Ambonychia. Another possibility to check / compare with is Anomalodonta. Great finds. You found some really nice Rafinesquina in the photo just below your bivalve. It can be difficult to find unbroken ones free of the matrix like that. Thanks for sharing. dalmayshun
it is such a great place to stop on a trip...my wife allows the same thing on our travels past it....One hour she says, no more...but an hour provides a great opportunity to hunt... Great finds. Everytime I have stopped there, I have found interesting things in a relatively short time.

Sounds like fun! Spending more time somewhere will surely increase the chance of coming home with a better haul! Max Derème "I feel an echo of the lightning each time I find a fossil.
