restoration of a megalodon tooth

Hi everyone,

I recently acquired this big megalodon tooth and I was wondering if it is possible to restore a tooth with this much damage? I was also wondering if people had any recommendations on where I could possibly send it to get it restored at a reasonable price.

Good luck on your quest, wether you choose to do it yourself, or someone else.:D

I've had a tooth repaired by Marty Swilp. Very happy with the outcome and work was completed writhin a few days. Google his name and you'll find his eBay store and site

Unless that tooth is huge or has sentimental value, I find myself wondering if it might not be cheaper to buy one in better condition rather than to restore that one.  Repairing it is going to take a lot of time and effort to do it right...and that's not cheap!

I'm with Joe, generally restored teeth would not have the value of a perfect one and unless it had personal worth would not be worth the cost to restore: ) meg teeth just aren't that uncommon unless particularly large

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!

Agree with the prior two posters. Unless this meg is 6.5" or bigger, I'd just buy a different one. 50% of it is gone. It's basically gonna be half-sculpture.  I am certain you can get something that looks better and is 100% real for the price of fixing this one up.  Look around and see what's available before you spend money on a costly resto.
