DD1991 Posted June 12, 2017 Share Posted June 12, 2017 It's no surprise that all early Homo sapiens originated in Africa as highlighted by DNA evidence (and the discovery of Homo sapiens idaltu), but the discovery of Homo sapiens specimens in sediments in Morocco about 300,000 years old raises the possibility that early Homo sapiens were widespread across the breadth of North Africa because Homo naledi is about the same age as the Homo sapiens fossil finds in Morocco.
