Not sure if this was the correct part of the forum to post. If not, my apologies.

Buyer Beware!

Perfect example of an unethical seller on a mainstream auction site.

Selling this mammalian carnivore lower canine as a Nanotyrannus tooth.

I wrote seller a few days ago explaining that it is not and to please correct listing. Seller has not responded and continues selling under misrepresentation of fossil.

There are slready several bids on it.

Sent a second email to seller today saying:

"Shows how dishonest you are when you've been shown what this tooth really is and yet you continue to post it without the correction."

"GREED"

I agree $$ can sometimes be the motivation but it doesn't have to be about $$. It can also be about having/owning things or possessions, especially if others don't or can't. Sometimes the possessions have significant monetary value, sometimes not.

I've know plenty of unscrupulous collectors who simply wanted to possess something specific. (Antiquities, relics, fossils, etc.) Many times they wanted it so someone else couldn't have it.

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

Wrote to the seller and reinforced Henry's comments and the need to remove it.

Listing has been taken down.
